Karan Johar bestowing all the love on Alia

Karan Johar bestowing all the love on Alia

Seeing new comers budding under the tutelage of established showbiz biggies is not a new phenomenon, either for the natives of tinsel town or the cine buffs. And when this patronage comes from someone like K.Jo, then life can't be better than this for any newcomer.

Yes, you got it right, here we are talking about the hot new damsel of tinsel town, Alia Bhatt, who is all set to debut with KJo's upcoming cine flick "Student of the Year" which is scheduled to release on October 19th.

But as it looks like even before the release of SOTY Alia has emerged as talk of the town, and has thoroughly succeeded in impressing the ace director K.Jo, who has gone gaga over her.

If grapevine is to be believed, then Alia has been signed by Karan for his next massive cine venture "2-States" which is reportedly inspired from Chetan Bhagat's, book titled with same name.

The narration of 2 States, has its roots embedded in a an intercultural love affair, where a north Indian guy falls in love with a south Indian native gal, and their tryst with those societal difference, which somewhere down the line unearth the fact, that in Indian Society marriage is an institution which takes place between two families, and not just among the two individuals.

When the buzz about the making of 2 States made it to page-3, names of various Bollywood hotties like Deepika Padukone, Asin and Priyanka Chopra were tossed about playing the female lead of the movie, but no substantial confirmation in this regard was made by the K.Jo. And now it's hot new diva of the show circuit, Alia, who has succeeded in emerging as K.Jo's choice for 2-States.

In the past, buzz even suggested the name of Imraan Khan as the male lead but, now the wind seems to be favouring "Ishaqzaade" star Arjun, who has been signed to play the character of north Indian guy opposite Alia.
